Various special interests, including "free-standing ERs,” Big Pharma, and even some independent pharmacists, have been working diligently to secure behind-the-scenes agreements that boost their profits at the expense of American families and to remove safeguards against price gouging for specialty drugs and at specialty pharmacies. We stand against these special interest concessions, advocating for market competition, fairness, and transparency in pricing. We strive to resist legislation that eliminates cost-control measures and prevents physician-owned pharmacies from excessively charging for specialty drugs.
